In December 2025, Richard House Children’s Hospice in East London closed its doors for the last time. After 25 years of caring for seriously ill children and their families, the hospice simply ran out of money. We can’t let this happen again.

But for the thousands of families across the UK who are caring for someone with a terminal illness, love looks very different right now. It’s quieter. More worn in. And often far braver than anything you’d find in a greeting card.
