Richard House Children's Hospice

We are delighted to announce that we were able to help a Richard House Children’s Hospice with a donation of £2,607 for a shortfall with the funding of converting a bathroom into a 5thbedroom in their residential unit providing care and support for children & young adults with life limiting illnesses, giving an extra 361 nights of specialist care for hundreds of children

Please meet Henry, one of the children that will benefit from this new addition.

Henry was deprived of oxygen during a traumatic birth which left him with severe brain damage. This means he requires 24 hours medical care, which can be difficult for the whole family, particularly as they have two other children.

Mum said “Life is busy! Richard House isa wonderfully accepting place for a family like ours. We are able to relax and have fun as a family without standing out from the crowd which we do in our day-to-day life. The staff are amazing. They give us support and respite to be able to function as a young family. It is also a place to get advice when you feel lost and overwhelmed.”

Not only will this addition provide the best possible care for the little boy, it will also make things easier for his family too.
